The Life Wells Foundation is a non-profit organization established in the United States to bring safe, clean water sources to remote villages in Ethiopia and other parts of Africa.
The organization is founded by Yaregal Gebreyesus with the collaboration of his friends Steve Burnside, Ellen T Hoolhorst and his wife Blesilda H Gebreyesus. The purpose of the organization is to bring clean water to remote villages that don’t have it and to areas where water is not readily available. The organization believes drilling wells will improve the quality of countless lives. Children who assist their families spend countless hours to fetch water for miles would now be able to attend school. Women would to focus on other activities instead of fetching water on their backs and heads. And most of all, clean water would be more readily available in the villages for farms, cleaning, drinking and cooking.
OUR MISSION IS TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF ALL ETHIOPIANS BY BRINGING SAFE, CLEAN WATER SOURCES TO REMOTE VILLAGES.
